![]() I have over 1000 hours spread across games just on steam, and I've never run into anything like this. I don't know what to do and at this point I could do with never seeing CSGO again, I just want steam to work. My ram is fine, i'm pretty sure, i don't have overclocking, my online connection is fine. I have 112GB on my C drive free and 1.1TB on my D drive. I'm still getting the disk write error to install or update any games. I've made sure it has full access and run it as administrator. I've installed it on my C drive and my D drive. I'm currently running a full disk check through the command prompt on both my disks, which will take a while because they're big. I've gone back to before I updated the drivers and I'm getting the same issue, so it's not that. So I try to update a different game, PUBG and 7 Days to Die, and all of them have disk errors now when trying to update - this didn't happen before. I go back into steam, and while I can play some games, and I'm not getting the system service exception error, I AM getting a disk write error when I'm trying to update CSGO. I've restarted, I've downloaded all my drivers, I've restarted again, I've checked for updates on everything imaginable. I've go no third party antivirus and run multiple scans, downloaded virus protection and scanned and come up with nothing and untinstalled. I came up with no errors, but defragged anyway. The third time I did a full disk check on both disks (my C: is 250GB SSD and D: is 2TB HDD). It did this three times, and the first two I thought it had just over heated or I'd gotten a virus. Then, my computer (windows 10) kept crashing and giving me the system service exception error, where it says "your pc ran into a problem and needs to restart". Last time I went to play, I was having a lot of issues dropping out and with my internet, but that's all fixed and I've played since then. My friend recently gifted me CSGO, and I've got maybe 25 hours on it, with no issues. ![]() ![]() ![]() I've never had any problems with steam past the issues with bioware itself. I've got like 30 games downloaded on my main desktop computer. ![]()
